Anyway like normal we waited till snow flied and went to plow. Blade came up fine, angled left fine, went to angle right and nothing (well fender mounted solenoid clicked).

Feb 22, 2011 · I have a straight Hiniker 7.5. All worked fine when I put her away last week. When I hooked her up last night, I couldn't get her to raise up. Checked the hydro fluid level, purged the piston/hose to check for air. I think it is a problem with either the remote or the lowering solenoid.

Oct 17, 2016 · Hi Guys, I'm new here and in the same situation as described. I have a 2018 Chevy 2500 and need a V-plow. My dealer carries Hiniker and Boss. I will primarily be plowing a 1 mile long dirt driveway. I can get a Hiniker 8.5' V for $5800, Boss 8'2" V Steel for $6300, and Boss 8'2" V POLY for $6500. Any pros and cons for each would be great! Thanks.

Nov 26, 2012 · On a Hiniker, the plow will raise if no valves are opened and the motor runs. Most likely you either have a short giving the float coil power all the time or a bad release valve (float valve). Check for magnetism.

Jan 19, 2011 · Boss makes a good product that is tested and true. I've never used the Hiniker, and while I tend to agree dealer support is important, with a snow plow I think Boss is the way to go for 2 other reasons: 1. The Boss name is worth more at resale of the truck and/or plow, 2.

Jan 5, 2005 · Just got done installing a 8.5 Hiniker plow on a 3500 chevy. Everything works good except,,,,, it will not angle to the right? It angled to the left ,up and down but will not go back to the right. Any suggestions as what the problem could be? The dealer is closed and we are expecting a plowable snow overnight.
