The Jagdpanzer 38 (Sd.Kfz. 138/2), originally the Leichter Panzerjäger 38(t), known mostly post-war as Hetzer, was a German light tank destroyer of the Second World War based on a modified Czechoslovakian Panzer 38(t) chassis.

Hetzer 38 (t) was cheap, fast, low and hard hitting and is considered to be one of the most successful tank destroyers of World War II. It was not popular with crews but proved to be a dangerous opponent on the defensive and is considered as one of the best German tank-hunters of the late war period.
