Metal, as the Scadrian focus, steals Scadrian magics such as Allomancy, Feruchemy, and the innate power of Preservation in people (the Human stuff). But why does a power of Ruin enable one to touch preservation? From what I understand, hemalurgy and burning allomancy via hemalurgy makes the mist move away.

Dec 24, 2024 · Hemalurgy on Scadrial manifests with metallic spikes, because metal is a big part of Scadrial, on Roshar gemstones are important so that's why Hemalurgy on Roshar manifests with spikes. You can still use metal spikes on Roshar, you would be using Scadrian Hemalurgy, but crystals are used for Rosharan Hemalurgy.

Jan 5, 2019 · Allomancy is Preservation's magic system and yet atium is the most powerful metal for allomancy. Now Lerasium seems to be the most powerful metal for Hemalurgy. Well.... I guess it works. Atium (ruin's metal) makes you good at killing things with allomancy. Lerasium (preservation's metal) makes you good at preserving powers with hemalurgy.
