The City of Heath Parks and Recreation Department maintains 10 parks and recreation facilities, including the Heath City Water Park, the Davis Shai House, and the city’s pedestrian trail system. The Parks Department seeks to provide a wide variety of recreational opportunities to people of all ages and stages of life.

Clean, good tasting water is something most citizens of Heath take for granted. Our Utilities Department provides this refreshing water source through its state-of-the-art facility on Dorsey Mill Road. The facility provides consistent water quality and capacity 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The legislative powers of the City of Heath, except as otherwise provided by the Constitution of the State of Ohio, are vested in Heath City Council. Our Council consists of seven members of the community, four of which are at-large and three from each designated ward of the city.

The Income Tax Department is located in the Heath Municipal Building at 1287 Hebron Road. The office hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. During peak tax season, the Department is open the last two Saturdays in March and the first two Saturdays in April between the hours of 8:00 AM and 12:00 Noon.

As a permit holder, the City of Heath has established a stormwater management plan addressing five critical areas of stormwater management determined by the Ohio EPA: Public Education, Public Involvement, Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination, Construction Runoff and Post Construction Runoff.

The Department is comprised of eighteen full-time sworn officers and a small reserve force. The Patrol Section provides 24/7 continuous service to the citizens and business community of Heath investigating a wide variety of criminal offenses in addition to their traffic enforcement duties.
