Feb 3, 2009 · Historia kwa njia ya simulizi inasema karne ya 20 Wadigo walikuwa na desturi za pekee tofauti na wakazi wengine wa pwani. Nyumba zao za asili zinaitwa Msonge. Nyumba hizo zenye umbo la duara ni kubwa kwa wastani, hujegwa kwa miti naudongo na kuezekwa kwa nyasi. Nyumba hiyo huwa na vyumba viwili na sebule moja kwa ajili ya kulala wavulana.

Msonge house is circular double-banked house plan, with two concentric cycles. The sleeping rooms were provided with a fire place. The double- banked system was adapted to reduce heat loss during the cold nights.
