Sep 5, 2023 · From my reading there's some speculation that Hasselblad switched from Kodak to Zeiss because the Zeiss lenses were less expensive, which in 2023 is a crazy thing to think about. I bought this camera sight-unseen from my favorite camera store back in Kentucky.

Aug 10, 2007 · A decent architectural camera must offer more shift than the Zeiss/Hasselblad lenses can provide, hence the Rodenstock/Hasselblad lenses.<br><br>The ArcBody has, of course, its limitations too, compared to a 'full-blown' view camera. And you can indeed get 4x5" view cameras, lenses, film holders etc. for relatively little money.

Of course this is highly disappointing to bargain-hunting amateurs today, most of whom want an affordable digital back for the now-affordable (and still amazing) classic Hasselblad V system.

Also note there isn't a wide choice of "modern" backs that integrate seamlessly with a Hasselblad 503cw.
