Harald Tammer (9 January 1899 – 6 June 1942) was an Estonian journalist, athlete and weightlifter. [3] As a heavyweight weightlifter he won a world title in 1922 and a bronze medal at the 1924 Olympics. [ 4 ]

Harald Tammer (9. jaanuar 1899 Tallinn – 6. juuni 1942 Suhhobezvodnoje (vangilaager), Gorki oblast, Vene NFSV) oli eesti ajakirjanik, kergejõustiklane ja tõstja. Ta võttis vabatahtlikult osa Vabadussõjast ( ohvitseri asetäitja ).

Although Harald Tammer won all of his international championships medals in weightlifting, he considered himself to be mainly a track & field athlete. In that sport, he first found fame at the 1916 Russian championships, where he won silver in the shot put and bronze in the discus and hammer throws.

Harald Tammer Contributed to Estonian journalism through various articles and publications. Competed in weightlifting and represented Estonia at the 1924 Paris Olympics, achieving notable success in the sport.
