The two main branches of Q-M242 found in the Nordic countries are distinct, and have probably arrived in Scandinavia at different times. The Q-L527, Q-L804 and Q-F749 branches have SNP L56 in common, and are split by L53.

I can see some of the guys that tested at 67 marker, and 111 marker still only have their haplogroup listed as Q-M242. So does this mean there are still subclades to discover? Can I take away from this result that my father's direct paternal line was Ashkenazi?
