The Hani or Ho people (Hani: Haqniq; Chinese: 哈尼族; pinyin: Hānízú; Vietnamese: Người Hà Nhì / 𠊛何贰) are a Lolo -speaking ethnic group in Southern China and Northern Laos and Vietnam.

The Hani are the 15th largest ethnic group and the 14th largest minority in China. They numbered 1,733,166 in 2020 and made up 0.12 percent of the total population of China in 2020 according to the 2020 Chinese census.

Hani is an ethnic minority in southwest China, and the 16th largest ethnic group in China. Yunnan is home to the most Hani people in China, and the total population of Hani in China is about 1.66 million.

The Hani are a needy and poverty-stricken people. The central government ranked them the lowest of China's official minorities in a "quality of life index." The Hani scored 38.3%, compared to the national average of 62.7%. They also ranked last for infant mortality, with 107 of every 1,000 Hani children dying during infancy.
