Feb 18, 2015 · Hello. I had Hammertoe surgery 4 weeks ago on both feet, 6 toes in total and I thought I would share my experience as I had so many questions and needed more information and "googled" obsessively to find out more - so here is my experience.

Dec 14, 2019 · Simona I'm at the exact same place in my recovery, 6 weeks from bunion, hammertoe and tailors bunion surgery Oct 30, 2019. Its very frustrating to still be so swollen. I was looking forward to my hammertoe pin removal and clearance to begin weight bearing but its just such a battle of swelling and pain.

I had hammertoe surgery on JAN 21 . The pins were removed on February 19 . I am having more difficulty walking & in more pain after the pin removal than the 2nd day after surgery. Toes are very swollen & hurt if they are moved at all. Anyone else having the same? 0 likes, 12 replies

On Feb. 13, 2018 (1 week & 5 days after surgery) I had the first (post-surgery) cast removed and the stitches taken out from the hammer toe (the bunion stitches were self-dissolving so they were still there) with more tape added to the hammer toe incision and a fiberglass cast put on. The pin in the hammer toe was left in for 4 more weeks.

Jul 2, 2015 · I am 3 months post surgery. I have had the same procedure, bunion & hammertoe and a torn liagment. I also have a lot of scar tissue build on the ball of my foot beneath the hammertoe. My range of motion for my big toe is not good. I have heard that some people have a manipulation done to help the toe start moving properly.

I had bilateral bunion surgery on June 6th this year and I can recommend filling the freezer, make sure you have snack food for the first week or 2 so you can take the strong painkillers, I ate bananas, crackers and yogurt (not all at the same time). The pin in the hammertoe came out after 6 weeks and the toe was completely numb. I am now almost 4 months since surgery and there is still a bit of residual numbness in both the big toe and former hammertoe. Plus the former hammer toe is quite stiff. May 9, 2015 · I had bunion ( hallux valgus to give it it's correct medical name) surgery together with hammertoe surgery on same foot in 2013. Trust me you'll be absolutely fine! I had put off seeking help for these 2 things for so many years whilst the condition continued to worsen. I was very nervous as I was told/had read that it was extremely painful.

I had hammertoe and bunion surgery 3 weeks ago. Pins removed from my toes at 2 weeks. My 2nd toe is still numb completely. My toes are swollen though my foot is fine. I'm hoping my toe regains feeling. Has anyone went through this? 0 likes, 5 replies

Jan 29, 2015 · In June 2014 had surgery for mortons neuroma and a tendon transfer on the hammertoe. Further appointment with the consultant in November and was sent for an MRI scan . Got the result last week which showed I now have arthritis in my ankle and inflammation in the tendons in my ankle and where I had the mortons neuroma removed.
