Exceptions are the Age of Empires Definitive trilogy which use dedicated servers to achieve crossplay but doesn't require Xbox live on steam. All the crossplay talk I’m finding is about same-input MP matches. I can’t test it myself because my friends are waiting to know this before they buy MCC on PC.
