Makee was born on the UEG Tier 2 Waste Disposal colony Oban where she was friends with a boy named Det who eventually became her love interest. Det would read The Dawn of Angels to Makee and they would dream of other worlds and a better life amongst the stars.

Makee betrays them by commanding Covenant creatures to attack the UNSC soldiers, killing them all. She restrains Captain Yates and demands to know where he took her keystone, but he doesn't know what she's talking about. She tries to pressure him to answer but he refuses to betray his people.
