Feb 20, 2023 · Kurt was different. The Spartans, young and old, responded to him. There was the usual Spartan stoicism and no questions asked, but there were also nods, slight tilts of their heads—the involuntary indication of rapt attention. Kurt was their leader now. Halo Ghost of Onyx
In Defense of Kurt-051 : r/HaloStory - Reddit
A common criticism I see of Kurt-051, better known as LCDR. Kurt Ambrose is that his decision to take SPI over his old Mark IV Mjolnir during the First Onyx Conflict was a bad one, or that Kurt was an idiot for doing so. But this argument ignores a lot of Kurt’s character and life experiences but also ignores the context and timeline of the First Onyx Conflict.

How does Kurt compare to Chief as a leader? They contrast each
Apr 6, 2020 · Kurt is a much better squad leader/drill sergeant whereas Chief is a much better tactical/general type of leader, at the end of the day Chief would rather do things himself than risk others lives, whereas Kurt relies on his ability to lead to succeed and to get everybody home.

Why did Kurt and Mendez remove noteworthy Cat-II S-IIIs prior
Jul 29, 2022 · Kurt's superiors and Ackerson himself weren't totally on board with the Cat-IIs. As seen in the transcript, they wanted all available IIIs deploying with the main company. Kurt may have been in charge of the program's training, but he had little control over deployments, that would fall to others, so it would simply be a case of red tape.

Who’s the better leader, John-117 or Kurt-051? : r/HaloStory
Sep 7, 2020 · Kurt strikes me as a better administrator and bigger picture leader. He was the right guy to be both a project manager and inspiration for a younger generation of Spartans. John is a better battlefield leader, and coordinates his Spartans better, though. I'd rather work for Kurt in an office, but I'd rather John be in charge in a life or death situation.
