Halfdan is a significant oil and gas field in the south-western part of the Danish sector of the southern North Sea. The field has been in production since 1999. The Sif and Igor fields are satellites to Hallfdan. The Halfdan field comprises the contiguous Halfdan, Sif and Igor fields in Blocks 5505/13 and 5505/16 of the North Sea. [1] .

Dec 2, 2022 · Noreco further confirms that the first of these two wells to be drilled at the Tor reservoir in the Halfdan North East area – located in the central part of the Danish North Sea – is expected to be spudded by the jack-up Shelf Drilling Winner (former Noble Sam Turner) rig in the early spring of 2023.

Apr 3, 2024 · The HBA-27B infill well was the first one drilled as part of the campaign to increase gas production from the Halfdan field. According to BlueNord, the first production has been achieved with initial production rate in line with the expectation of net 3 kboe/day.

Jun 12, 2023 · French energy giant TotalEnergies has kicked off drilling operations on the first of two infill wells to be drilled during 2023 in the Tor reservoir at a field located in the Danish sector of the North Sea. These activities are being undertaken with a Shelf Drilling-owned rig.

Halfdan NE has been developed in 3 phases, and 21 wells have been drilled, with currently 16 active gas producers. Halfdan consists of 2 main groups of platforms, Halfdan A and Halfdan B in addition to an unmanned wellhead platform, Halfdan CA (North East).
