Sep 1, 2004 · Ali The HMS Erin was Ordered by Turkey in 1911 and was to be named Reshadieh the design was by Vickers and based on the King Gerorge V design. She was laid down on Aug. 1 1911 and completed Aug. 1914. She was part of the 2nd battle Squardron and did fight at Jutland no casulaties. she became a flag ship in 1919 and was sold in 1922 to comply with the Washington Treaty. Hope this helps. Best ...

May 31, 2024 · As well as his ledger record at TNA, for which @Keith_history_buff has provided a link, the Fleet Air Arm Museum archive has an Attestation Pack of documents from his RMLI service. (they are not available on line and fees apply for copies/scans). His three WW1 medals were issued to him when he was serving in HMS ERIN in 1921/22.
