Feb 3, 2010 · The Hmmwv use stiffer springs for pay load, which means pain in ass ride. The H1 frame is not reinforced to allow for deformation in a wreck. The Hmmwv has extra plates bolted to the frame to help with payload. Which will not bend as easy in a wreck. The H1 body is the same as the Hmmwv. But does not have the reinforcements of the hmmwv.

I’d like to be able to plug my hmmwv into an extension cord to keep the batteries charged. Tired of removing the seat and disconnecting battery terminals. I don’t have any accessories.

Nov 3, 2022 · I've never heard of any of the geared hubs in either HMMWV OR H1 being anything other than 1.92-1 ratio. No way a 4-1 ratio gearset would fit in the hubs. Also, the 2.56 geared trucks should be 7.7k or 10.3k GVWR, and the 2.73 trucks are 10.3k rated. I haven't heard of a 10.8k rated truck.
