Apr 20, 2017 · Unlike the Walther HK416 and MP5 .22 clones, the G36 is a proper gun with a normal metal barrel, and takes down like a real G36. The 416 and MP5 are just cosmetic shells over a common action where the bolt is normally not removable, and the real barrel is a pencil barrel under a normal sized shroud.

Oct 4, 2020 · IIRC, the .22 LR G36 uses a normal thickness barrel, not the pencil barrel hidden under a normal sized barrel shroud like the .22 LR HK 416.

Oct 17, 2017 · The barrel threads on the .22 LR G36 are normal 1/2x28 RH threads. Don’t know how airsoft fake suppressors are, but you could put a real .22 suppressor on.
