Nov 22, 2014 · We've got a deployment coming up and I'm looking to outfit my flight helmet with some "upgrades" to enhance functionality and comfort. I've obtained an ML-8 liplight and an Ume Cobra mic -- they've been awesome thus far. I'm looking at Oregon Aero's HushKit (w/ Soft Seal) and Zeta II Liner. Any recommendations/suggestions? Is it worth the upgrade?

This is an original Gentex HGU-56/P Flyer's Helmet with the removable mandible, ANVIS mount and ANVIS Battery Pack. The helmet itself was manufactured in April of 1999 and was one of the first HGU56/P helmets manufactured under the contract with it being form Lot #1.

Developed as a replacement for the SPH-4 helmet series, the HGU-56/P provides a platform for a range of modules. During the service life of the SPH-4 series helmet, it was evident that several crashes with military helicopters could have had a different ending. The protective capability of the SPH-4 could have been a lot better.
