HDX logo. Home Depot's Workforce brand of tools was a budget brand slotted below Husky in quality and cost. It has largely been phased out and replaced by the HDX brand of tools and supplies, introduced in 2012.

This Fall term, students from ArtCenter College of Design’s Packaging 2 class were tasked to redesign the HDX brand. Both, graphic and product designers were tasked to create a new brand identity along with packaging structures that speak to a new demographic.

Logo and icon set for HDX website. The challenge was to create appealing and fresh looking icons, while incorporating some graphic elements from the logo. As a result I decided to experiment with glass like elements and add pixel pictograms.
