Dec 3, 2022 · The conversion only requires the plastic adapter on the connection to be removed to allow H9. No filing required. Too bright of a light is a PIA on the eyes - I'd stick with the oem style Halogen that came in the truck. JMO. There are H11's that are as bright as H9 if you are concerned about modifying the connection by removing the green adapter.

Apr 22, 2017 · There is no genuine/legitimate upgrade for an H9 bulb. Leave the stock bulbs alone; in the event a replacement becomes necessary, use a good brand of standard H9 bulb (Philips, Osram, GE, Vosla, Narva, in no special order).

I have the OEM LED fog lights and wanted to find the “whitest” H9 halogen bulb to try to get as close to the color of the LED fog lights as I can. Can someone suggest a good option for a white H9 halogen bulb? Thanks in advance.

Jun 6, 2014 · The H7-based H9 bulb can be more glaring in some headlamps primarily because it produces a whole lot more light, not because its filament might be 0.7mm longer. A Philips Xtreme Vision H7 (top pick among standard-power H7 bulbs) would give higher beam peak intensity without exceeding the regulated maximum luminous flux of the H7 bulb category.

Oct 27, 2016 · Thermally, it's whether the headlamp's internal components can handle the extra heat from prolonged operation with a higher-wattage bulb. Economically, it's how easy or difficult it is to change the bulb in the vehicle in question. H9 has a much shorter lifespan than H11. This has to be a judgment call by the vehicle owner.

Feb 19, 2019 · FYI for future lurkers... I get about 12 months from a set of high performance 150 hour bulbs (like the GE Megalight +130). The Philips H9’s are a 250 hour bulb. So, I’d get about 18 months give or take. Another nice high performance bulb is the Philips Xtreme Vision +100. It’s a 400 hour bulb.

Aug 14, 2020 · I have done the H11 to H9 headlight bulb conversion. I actually switched from led bulbs that I got from diode dynamics. That was before I read the huge headlight bulb thread. Since reading the the thread I have the Philips H9 made in Germany. It might just be me but they don't seem much brighter. Other than changing to the TRD Pro LED lights.

What’s drawing my to the LED bulb is the ‘whiter’ light more along the 5000k output vs the standard H9. I am still going functionality over of looks.

Oct 16, 2016 · Im gonna buy some new H9 high beam bulbs for my Volvo V60, the olde ones are Osram orginal line bulbs 65w. I have seen some Phillips Vision H9 bulbs on eBay and some Phillips Blue Vision H9 bulbs and that's it. My question is about the US Phillips site. The have these 9005 bulbs in extreme vision 65w and they look the same as H9 base.

Apr 9, 2015 · For best high beam, higher wattage helps. I've only found 1 somewhat legit looking higher wattage H9, that is the Xencn 70w H9. I've ordered the bulb from China twice off aliexpress, even paid for upgrading shipping the 2nd time. Both times the packages were marked 'delivered' by China tracking and yet never showed up.
