Then there's this thing about "Life hours is defined as the amount of time in which around 80% of a sample set of bulbs are still lit, but at a highly reduced efficiency (lumen output and amperage draw on the electrical system)."

Feb 3, 2014 · There is a 65w H7 made by Osram and Flosser (that actually consists of an H9 burner assembly on the H7 base) that works well and safely in many H7 applications, but not all, and with the beam pattern produced by the headlamps on your 2013 3 Series it would be best to stick to a standard-wattage bulb.

Vosla is said to manufacture an H7 that some claim matches the specs of the discontinued 65217, yet there are others who say the Vosla is just another 55W H7 and not a copy of the original Osram. Maybe this difference of opinion is due to people buying what they *thought* were the "special" H7s but were in reality just +100 or +120 55W bulbs?

Mar 11, 2024 · Anyways, looking to upgrade the bulbs in my 2018 Grand Cherokee. Stock set up is H11 Projector Low, H9 Reflector High, H11 Projector Fog. Looking to replace the H11 Fog and Low bulbs with H9 bulbs. My only concern is the additional heat from a 65W bulb in 55W position.

Jun 6, 2014 · The H7-based H9 bulb can be more glaring in some headlamps primarily because it produces a whole lot more light, not because its filament might be 0.7mm longer. A Philips Xtreme Vision H7 (top pick among standard-power H7 bulbs) would give higher beam peak intensity without exceeding the regulated maximum luminous flux of the H7 bulb category.

Bear in mind these specs might not carry over to non-automotive "H" lamps, such as the Halopower lamp used in the Thors, as these say not for automotive use right on the lamp...

For example, Philips vision plus H7 old BR154 and new BR 87. Philips blue vision H7 old BR 135 and new 89. Narva range power old BR 119 and new BR 89.
