Hello. I have a Weil McLain GV90+ Furnace. New about 5 years ago. It won't stay running. It fires and gets the water temp up to about 185 then shuts off. The water temp drops after about a minute or two to about 155 then fires again. The pumps are continually running calling for water to be circulated to the heating zones throughout the house.

I am replacing a discontinued Weil Mclain VHE, Series 3 boiler, 100,000 BTU. It is a LP-fueled, 2-zone residential baseboard hot water system. My plan is to leave the existing loops in place and replace the VHE with the GV90+4 boiler, 84,000 BTU.

Replaced a leaking UB90 HX that was 16 yrs old with a GV90+4. I installed this unit myself using the 1.25" headers with 1" pipe, for the primary and secondary loops. I have 4 pumps on the header, 3 that feed the copper slatfin, and one going to the Amtrol indirect hot water heater.

High limit is set to low and the boiler is not getting hot enough to heat the rooms; Air in the radiators or baseboards. if there is air in the system then the heat transfer medium (Water) can not move as much heat. One contractor is keen to install a Weil-Mclean GV90+, which I gather is an old school boiler that's increased its efficiency to over 91% by adding a condensing unit. He doesn't like wall hung units because "they only last 10 years and need more repairs."
