Parents show no care so if you have no other tank mates they might be able to survive, if not you could always take the female out when here abdomen gets “boxy” and put her in a separate tank then raise the fry yourself

Sep 7, 2014 · In my experiences the fry are able to out swim the filter when the mom has had a good batch of strong fry. If you do raise them waiting for the color to come then trading them at the pet store is the best way so you can pick the ones you want and don't want.
