Ōarai Girls' Academy is the new school of the main protagonist Miho Nishizumi, who transferred in primarily because the school did not practice senshado. Its senshado team had been disbanded long ago but was revived by Anzu Kadotani in a bid to avert the school's closure.

In Girls und Panzer, the student council members serve as the Turtle Team. Their office is at the bridge of their school ship. The student council, and more specifically the president, has a very important role on many decisions that determined the fate of Ooarai Girls Academy and the Girls und Panzer story-line.

The Battle for Ooarai is an Annihilation battle that takes place during Girls und Panzer der Film. The match pits Ooarai Girls Academy against the All-Stars University Team in a 30v30 battle to prevent the closure of Ooarai.

Three girls first seen in the opening, the members of the Public Morals Committee take over crew duties for the French Char B1 bis from Yukari, Erwin and Aya beginning with their match against Pravda. Collectively, they serve as The Sixth Ranger, joining Sensha-do right before the match.

Apr 20, 2022 · Girls und Panzer, or GuP for short, follows Miho Nishizumi, a second-year student at Oarai Girls' Academy, as she tries to lead her haphazard Sensha-Do team to victory.

They drive a Panzer IV Ausf. D, a German medium tank, updated in Episode 7 into an Ausf. F2 configuration with a longer 75mm Kwk 40 L/43 gun and increased frontal armor, and later in Episode 10 into an Ausf. H, with a new paintjob and schürzen spaced turret and sideskirt armor.
