Dec 6, 2020 · I hate how particular you have to be on deploying atlas bipod legs. On a run and gun bipod the magpul does what it needs to do. Harris too. I went back to Harris style for hunting rifles except for the long range rig. 1.27moa for 20 shots is good shooting.

Nov 18, 2004 · Muscling the gun is never a good idea, that includes engaging moving targets. The the bipod should be as far forward as possible, FClass or Tactical. If you move your hips you maintain your NPA, which is a good thing. Steering the rifle by muscling it goes against the fundamentals and will bite you.

Nov 26, 2024 · I have the Salmon River solutions Hunters rail on a 300BO Tikka T3X and it works great. The rail is good for a bipod and ARCA for bipod or tripod as long as recoil doesn't walk it away from where you want it. I use Atlas bipods and like the mount from RRS that will clamp to either rail or ARCA.

Aug 21, 2014 · I agree with Rob on all of the above. It's one thing using the sling to aid in shooting an M4 or carbine in the prone but another thing entirely when using a bolt gun with bipod. Part of the reason is that slings designed for use with a carbine are different than those used on precision rifles, just nature of the beast.
