May 11, 2021 · Over the next few months, you’ll start to notice a new design appearing everywhere you find Guiding Stars. Our new logo and nutrition guidance icons have been updated to tie more directly to nutrition and reinforce our “good,” “better,” or “best” messaging.

When the scientific consensus around a specific nutrient or food group changes, the SAP revises our algorithms or develops new ones to make sure the Guiding Stars are always pointing to the most current understanding of good nutrition.
