Sep 24, 2022 · It would be cool to see a new city added to the GTA world though. Liberty, Vice, Los Santos, Las Venturas and San Fierro have been the settings for 25 years. I know GTA 2 is set in a place called Anywhere City, but the other cities are really the main places.

VII is likely 15+ years away, maybe even more. Who knows what: A) hardware is capable of by then and B) Rockstars ambitions will look like after dropping 2 unprecedented successes (assuming VI at least matches V in commercial success and cultural impact and longevity)

The only suggestion I’d make would be to either place the GTA logo in the center over the VII (like VI’s logo) or go with the classic approach of placing the VII in the bottom right corner, like IV and V’s logos.

We all know GTA 6 is already takin place in Vice City (From GTA Vice City) which is Miami/Florida. GTA 5 took place in L.A, So I think GTA 7 will mostly likely take place in The Big Apple, same as GTA 4. This is probably a longshot but I think NYC makes the most sense. IDK just throwing a idea out there

The next GTA after GTA V is more than likely going to be called GTA VI, simply because I don't see R* passing up the opportunity to use the number (roman numeral) after "V" as a way to advertise the fact that this is the "sequel" to GTA V. It's like how the sequel to The Incredibles was simply called "Incredibles 2".

Feb 8, 2024 · New leak confirms GTA 7 will take place in North Yankton, the devs wanted to go in a totally new direction though so this time around you’ll take on the roll of a county agricultural inspector whose job it is to inspect all local livestock before the processing season.

Hard to say without knowing what the climate of gaming will be like in 10+ years time. It won’t be called 'GTA 7' if this game does eventually exist. 6 will be the last one made with the same development principles as previous ones though. It will be the last one with any original Rockstar key players as well.
