The Guacamole Hat was featured in the Despicable Me sequel and is a hat made of tortilla, filled with guacamole. The hat represents a sombrero and its' purpose was for the person to chip off a piece of the tortilla's brim, dip it into the guacamole in the middle and eat it. Since finding a nacho sombrero in my local Mexican restaurant was harder than one would initially think, I decided to make one on my own! It came out pretty well, and it really tasted like tortilla chips! For the sombrero in the picture, I used the following ingredients. You may change the quantities if you want a smaller/bigger one.

Feb 27, 2014 · As soon as I saw Despicable Me 2, I knew I had to try to recreate the tortilla chip hat full of guacamole that Gru wears at El Macho’s party. It was easier than I thought to make the tortilla hat, and guacamole is the easiest dip to make as long as the avocados are ripe.
