Dec 19, 2023 · The two stores offer an assortment of items from food and beverages, to tactical needs and clothing for the Idaho National Guard members, family and civilians on Gowen Field and at the store at the Orchard Combat Training Center.

This is our 3rd time staying at Gowen Field. All 3 times we were met by the Billiting Staff that is very friendly and very helpful. As the others have stated, this is a great place to stop for a night, a week, or even a month. There is so much to do in and around Boise, all you need to do is look.

The Gowen field that the 801st found in March of 1943 consisted of several score two story wood frame buildings, the all-important PX (Post Exchange), described in the official history as "a handsome building" and two white chapels whose steeples served the worldly as points of orientation in the same manner their interiors did for the faithful.
