TETRA & GOURAMI COMPATABILITY | Fish Forum
Oct 21, 2024 · I had a honey gourami with ember tetras once. Worked well together overall, the only issues were gourami mating (the top 1/3 of the tank was a NO GO zone for the tetra), and when feeding as the gourami was the dominant one it got to the food first. Pearl and Dwarf gourami may have different temperaments however. Others will have a better idea ...
Do gouramis often sit on the bottom? | AquariaCentral.com
Apr 26, 2007 · I think they do it periodically, so if it's an occasional thing, and there's still a good level of activity, swimming, and searching for food and breathing from the surface, it's fine. I would say if the gourami isn't sleeping, and it's doing for say, longer than a half hour, a water test/change might be in order.
Betta With Honey Gourami? | Fish Forum - Tropical Fish Forums
Mar 29, 2010 · I break all the rules with my bettas. I have two males living peacefully together in with 27 females. There is also a large female angel and a large female moonlight gourami. There used to be a male lavender gourami and pearl gouramis in with them too,- but they died off over the last year. I'd had them many years so it was probably old age.

Are cichlids and gourami compatible? | AquariaCentral.com
Jan 26, 2009 · Angels and Gourami can be a bad combination as the Gourami have tendencies to nip the Angels fins. That said, stuff like rams, apistogramma species and jewels can be homed with Gourami in a decently sized tank - still comes down to the individual fish involved though. Broadly speaking its the fish that decides what it can go with, not us.
Help: Honey gourami sick dying | Fish Forum - Tropical Fish Forums
Mar 7, 2016 · Two of my honey gourami are sick, one is in a really bad way and looks like he'll die any moment. The other is not that bad yet, so I'm wondering what I can do to try and help them. Water parameters are fine, unchanged for months (0,0,20ppm).
Gourami: swollen and lethargic | AquariaCentral.com
Feb 8, 2005 · Another possiblilty is that your dwarf gourami had intestinal parasites. I have read from a couple of different sources that this is very common for dwarf gouramis because of the conditions they are bred/raised in. I am more suspicious of this since you stated there was some ulceration or perforation in the abdominal area after it died.
Gouramis keep dying! Why? | AquariaCentral.com
Mar 2, 2006 · For some reason every time I get a Gourami it dies. I have been buying them from Petsmart and returning them. First one was a male Three Spot, second was a female Three Spot, third was a Paradise fish. All of them died within 24 hours of being in a 30 gallon understocked tank. They had plenty of shelter, plants, excellent filtration.
gouramis eating my floating plants | AquariaCentral.com
Nov 4, 2002 · I think that the plant you have is called frogbit. it's typically found in ponds and water gardens. it can grow prolifically and I don't see a problem with the gourami eating the roots especially since you mentioned that they are still multiplying. if the gourami is in fact NOT eating the roots, it could be a lighting issue. frogbit typically does best with ~1.5-2 WPG with a …

Jan 22, 2019 · We've had a dwarf gourami for over a year. In the last 3 weeks, it developed a very large lump on its left side and a smaller on on the right. It's laying on the bottom of the tank. Pet smart said they thought it was a tumor and nothing could be …
