Gon is a manga character that was brought into Tekken 3 as a collab character .... The reason he hasn't returned is probably because: A) he is a fucking pain in the arse. And B) licencing issues (most likely answer)

It's unsure whether Gon will return at all. That being said, I'd love to see an arc in which Gon is without Killua for a good while, discovering more about what he wants...because as of now, Gon is essentially goal-less.
