Gober Beach. An unassuming trail off a back road in Ballground/Canton leads to a gorgeous swimming hole on the Etowah River, pictured above. There is parking, as this is a common put-in/pull-out space for kayakers and tubers. Our boys and pup love the rocky beach area, flowing stream and waist-deep pools.

Jun 20, 2023 · Gober Beach. Gober Beach is expansive and gorgeous, offering visitors space to relax or play. Gober requires a little back-road ride through Canton and Ballground before you find the parking lot and reach your destination. This beach shares the Etowah River and is an excellent location for kayakers and canoers.

Sep 28, 2020 · Gober Beach - Ballground/Canton An old-style county swimming hole off a back road in Ballground and Canton. The parking is there for people putting in kayaks on the Etowah River, but you can just stay in place and enjoy the shallow water and rocky beach spot.

Nov 18, 2014 · It was a spot in the woods on the northwest side of the bridge. I found it on this site. I guess it is gober Beach. Passed by this place dozens of times on my way to paintball, always wondered about it as a spot for maybe doing some wading in the summer time. Very interested to see if some of our members have some input!
