Nov 11, 2007 · Yellow glues can make an obvious glue line in such dark wood, so use poly glue, epoxy, or Tite-Bond III. I prefer epoxy, personally, but get the stuff that takes a long time to set. Yes, very splintery, but it gives a very nice finish with no fuzzing at all.

Jul 5, 2012 · When we work with teak we use 2 part epoxy and clean freshly joined edges with denatured alchol. Never had a problem gluing with any type of glue. The lighter bands probably absorb the glue better than the dense black part.

Feb 24, 2008 · I have a project coming up using wenge. Anything weird about gluing it up with standard Titebond II? I know with teak, the oil can make glue up challenging. The wenge doesn't seem to be oily like that. Thanks for the recommendations.

May 31, 2012 · Perhaps gluing it together with other woods will stop it from warping? If the wood has that kind of tendency, I will clamp it flat for a couple of weeks after glue-up. After that, I have a gorgeous flat sawn piece for the top.

For paper backed veneers you can use FSV (flexible sheet veneer) glue. This is a fast tack PVA specifically formulated for paper backed veneers. Urea resin is the best way I've found.
