first time giyu saw tanjiro and nezuko he was trying to behead nezuko. And sure he stopped after seeing how tanjiro/nezuko protected each other. Same way shinobu was trying to kill nezuko even when giyu tried to stop her. She only stopped after receiving the message.

I think it’s worth noting the only time she breaks that persona is with Giyu, indicating a high level of trust/comfort around him to do so. When they’re together her true hot-tempered, impatient self peeks through the cracks.

Dec 5, 2022 · With regards to Giyu she just likes messing with him. She’s wants to be his friend and she wants get to know him more, but Giyu is really reserved and doesn’t talk that much. Giyu actually wants to be Shinobu’s friend but doesn’t know how to say it because of his trauma and poor social skills.
