Aug 8, 2019 · This 1952 Gibson LG-3 has survived in very good condition and is ready to go back into service as a stage, studio or living room guitar. It's got early production features such as solid Mahogany sides, thin scalloped top braces and teardrop pickguard.

This is a very nice Gibson LG-3 from 1953. It plays great and is quite clean. The tuners are 1960's klusons, but no extra holes and everything else is original. Call for an in hand description.

1957 Gibson LG-3 Very Good, Hard, $1,995.00 Description Gibson introduced the LG-3 in 1942 as a kind of junior partner to the famous J-45, with the same solid spruce top and mahogany back, sides, and neck, according to George Gruhn’s Guide to Vintage Guitars.

The LG-3 is X-braced, small-bodied, Gibson from the classic era of US built guitars. Binding looks amazing with no chips or cracks, top and back have some scratches- but no cracks. Action is low and very playable.

1949 Gibson LG-3. The model LG-3 is the top of Gibson’s original LG series. As the catalog described … “same general specifications as the LG-2 but a special selection of woods is used”. The natural finish shows off the X braced spruce top and lightly stained mahogany body.

The LG3 model was introduced by Gibson in 1942 alongside the LG1 and LG2. These guitars were considered student guitars due to their smaller size. This is not entirely justified, as the LG2 and LG3 are excellent guitars that feature X-bracing instead of the ladder bracing of the LG1.
