Jul 3, 2014 · Going up to dig geoducks next week. Looking for ideas for a geoduck tube. I can't find any 15-20 gallon food barrels for sale in the Vancouver areas. Was wondering if someone had any ideas with readily available materials.

May 22, 2013 · Very rare in Oregon. Only heard of them being found in two bays. Coos bay were only a couple have been confirmed and Netarts bay where they occasionally get harvested.

Aug 5, 2005 · I have eaten geoduck on many occasions and it is my favorite eating shellfish, razors are a close second. In washington "gaper" clams are refered to as "horse" clams. Geoduck has a very mild sweet flavor (my mouth is watering just thinking about it) and gapers have a stronger more bold flavor. I much prefer geoduck. HB :cheers:

Apr 19, 2022 · The razors I use on the coast. Puget sound and for shrimp I use horse clams. We end up with some monsters that smell like sewer while digging geoduck. Some I grind and add to shrimp bait, both spots and Coonstripe. Last summer it seemed we caught more red rock when we used horse clams with salmon or rock fish backbones. The shrimp loves clams.
