Jan 6, 2025 · All good. Anyway, Why do I have to enable XHCI_PCI_RENESAS now to make my USB3 card works ? It surely wasn't needed with 6.6.x (and before that), I just tried to reboot to 6.6.69 and no issues with USB3 (with CONFIG_USB_XHCI_PCI_RENESAS is not set )

Aug 19, 2024 · As an a easy solution you can just get the sys-kernel/gentoo-kernel or gentoo-kernel-bin package and be done with it, but I'm one of those people that likes to optimize things as much as possible with a custom kernel configuration (hence I use Gentoo).
