How to tell if my BBC is a gen V, gen VI, or mark IV?
Mar 7, 2011 · Gen 5 won't, but it'll have the same timing cover. May have cast aluminum valve covers if they're original. Gen 6 has a plastic timing cover that's held in place by 6 bolts, may or may not have provision for fuel pump (crate engines had 'em, production engines didn't). Original valve covers will be cast aluminum.

Jan 23, 2007 · The Gen VI block fixed the problems customers had with the Gen V block (or a lot of them). It allows you to use a new "Peanut Port" head or the old style Mark IV head because the water jackets were modified. The biggest change with the new block was the option for Siamese bores that allow up to a 4.5 inch bore if you get the 502 block.

This points right at the hood for 67-69 guys and should not be used GEN IV truck Again all 4.8/5.3/6.0/6.2 use the same pump. This is the half port pointing up and angled slightly to the PS side. It'll clear the hood but hose options are limited

No Spark to the coil- 1991 Camaro 3rd Gen - Team Camaro Tech
Mar 24, 2024 · reinstalled the factory 305 back in my Camaro. The cars turns but no spark to the coil. I’ve replaced the ICM, rotor is good, replaced the coil and check those cables to make sure they are good and they are. Still not getting spark, anyone have another place to look?
