Gas lift - Wikipedia
A gas lift or bubble pump is a type of pump that can raise fluid between elevations by introducing gas bubbles into a vertical outlet tube; as the bubbles rise within the tube they cause a drop in the hydrostatic pressure behind them, causing the fluid to be pulled up.
Gas Lift: How It Works, Why You Should Use It, and Equipment
Gas lift is an artificial lift system where gas is injected into a produced well casing to help lift liquids up to the surface through the production tubing. In this video, Kyle explains why a producer may choose to use gas lift, walks through the two types of gas lift, highlights the components of the system and explains how it operates.
What is a Gas Lift and What is it’s Purpose? - Croft Productions …
Jul 15, 2015 · Gas lifts use the artificial lift method by injecting gas into the production tubing to raise water or oil. The gas injected is high-pressure gas by adding bubbles of compressed air and vapor. This acts to lower the hydrostatic pressure at the bottom of the tubing, reducing its density.
The Gas Lift Method Explained: 10 Things You Didn’t Know But …
May 28, 2019 · The basic principle of the gas lift method is the expansion of gas as its pressure is reduced. Gas is compressed and injected into the well production tubing as low as possible …

Jan 28, 2025 · Gas lift is a method of artificial lift that uses an external source of high-pressure gas for supplementing formation gas to lift the well fluids. The principle of gas lift is that gas injected into the tubing reduces the density of the fluids in the tubing, and the bubbles have a “scrubbing” action on the liquids.

Sep 28, 2023 · Gas lift is a method of artificial lift that uses an external source of high-pressure gas to lift well fluids to the surface. It is one of the most common artificial lift methods used in the oil and gas industry, and is particularly well-suited for wells.
Gas Lift Compressors - Kingsly Compression
Mar 6, 2025 · Gas lift is a form of artificial lift used to boost oil and gas production by injecting compressed gas into the wellbore. This reduces the fluid column density so the natural pressure of the reservoir can push hydrocarbons to the surface more effectively.
Gas Lift Equipment & Solutions | Liberty Lift Solutions
Gas lift is a field-proven artificial lift method that dates back at least five decades. It relies on external high-pressure gas injected into the wellbore to stimulate and lift produced fluids to the surface for separation and further processing.

Jul 29, 2016 · Gas lift systems aid or increase production by injecting high-pressure gas from the casing annulus into fluids that have entered the production tubing from the formation. The injected gas reduces the fluid density and, thus, the hydrostatic pressure of the fluid, allowing in situ reservoir pressure to lift the lightened liquids.
