Nov 20, 2020 · There were videos from other people making reviews of the gan skewb and showing the mechanism so it is real. They basically put the newest gan technology (like from the gan 11) and put it in a skewb (tensioning system, core magnets, etc).

On the Gan skewb enhanced, I just had to add the 6 missing magnets and the center mounts because it already had corner to core magnets. The results were great on both cubes after I recalibrated the magnet strength and switched from the 4x1.5mm magnets of my 6 magnet core designs to 3x1.5mm magnets on the pieces with 4x1mm magnets on the core ...

I’d recommend getting a budget skewb. The current ones are good and don’t cost the exorbitant price a GAN would suck out of you (Plus it’s like the iPhone-Android situation; they are practically the same as far as the casual user is concerned).
