Next up, Gabara! I KNOW this guy is from an infamous movie, and I know that he's most likely not an actual monster due to the whole "it was only a dream" motif that it had going. But, there seems to be an ongoing theory that he was real. So, I wanted to include him in my redesign series.

He was originally a Diamond Dog, but he didn't look anything like one, so I went with the recent new species in the MLP world; Abyssinian, like Capper. Gabara looks cool, and Salunga isn't just Gabara anymore, so that's a plus. The Anguirus one is also great, it takes SP's already really good design and makes it a little more like the standard. The rest is just straight up awesome

as far as a complete update/redesign (like how Showa Rodan was updated to Fire Rodan), 2nd is the best choice. it's new and unique, while still keeping the essence of the original.

Now for his redesign, a typical approach would make him like a gorilla or very lanky since that’s most of the interpretations I’ve seen so far. So as always looking at the original, I decided make Gabara more of a brawler and fighter than animalistic with a stylistic approach.
