Unable to plot results of Speciation Diagram using GtPlot
Dec 20, 2024 · I am new to GWB 2023. I want to understand the speciation of rare earth elements (La to Lu and Ce and Y) in aqueous system. I know their concentrations, and pH, SO42-, F-, Na+, K+, Al3+, Ca2+, Si4+, Fe3+ and Mg2+ concentrations in the aqueous phase.
Piper diagrams - Geochemist's Workbench Support Forum
Feb 9, 2016 · Move to the Samples pane and choose your samples, then click “Apply”. For the Piper, Ternary, Durov, and XY plots, you can simply hit “Select all”, then “Apply”, to show all your samples. For more information, see section 8.1.1 Sample selection in the GWB Essentials Guide, as well as our Tutorials webpage. Kind regards, Katelyn
Modeling Perovskite Dissolution Reaction - The Geochemist's …
Jan 22, 2025 · None of the standard databases in GWB include perovskite. However, I found the thermo.com.V8.R6+ database, which includes anatase (TiO 2), rutile (TiO 2), and titanite (CaTiSiO 3). Custom Addition of Perovskite: I added perovskite into the database using TEdit, based on the reaction: CaTiO 3 + SiO 2 = CaTiSiO 3
Surface Complexation - Geochemist's Workbench Support Forum
Feb 28, 2018 · In the GWB's default state, the Cu concentration you set on the Basis pane refers only to that in solution (think of sampling water from a well). You can use the "sorbate include" option from the Config -> Iteration dialog to specify that the Cu concentration set on the Basis pane includes sorbed as well as dissolved mass.
Davies and Debye Huckel with same water activity model
Nov 5, 2018 · GWB 2022 includes more flexibility in how water activity is calculated within the various Debye-Huckel methods (b-dot, phreeqc/wateq4f/minteq, davies). With the B-dot extended Debye-Huckel model, specifically, you can now use the method of Wolery from newer versions of EQ3/6, the method of Garrels and Christ used in PhreeqC, or simply set water ...
Charge Balance Basis and Redox Species
May 18, 2020 · For example, if both Eh and O2(aq) are present, SpecE8 will use whichever is first in the data sheet. You can easily change the order of the analytes by dragging, or hide analytes you don’t want used in the calculations. For more information, please refer to section 3.2.5 Calculating analytes in the GWB Essentials User Guide. Hope this helps,
Charge balances/ speciation - The Geochemist's Workbench
May 3, 2011 · The other significant aspect to note is that GWB calculates charge imbalance based on species concentrations after the speciation calculation is performed. If you want to double-check the calculation, simply open the output file, sum the anions and cations and apply formula 2 (above). As far as your input file is concerned, it looks fine.
Eh-pH Diagrams with different main ions - Geochemist's …
Jun 21, 2015 · Instead, you might want to create one representative Eh-pH diagram for your data and plot your other samples as scatter data on the diagram. You can take a look at Section 3.6.5 Scatter data in the GWB Essentials Guide to learn how to plot GSS data on diagrams. Kind regards, Katelyn
