Jul 5, 2018 · The louvers on my 69 GT6+ have always been a real PITA. These are stamped directly into the hood, not bolted or welded into holes. So when the louver vanes get bent, even slightly, they are bent and no longer parallel forever.

Mar 9, 2004 · Engine is basically a 2.0 version of the standard 2.5, which you can put in. Weakest spots are the tranny and rear end. Very hot, and the handling is just a mess (particularly the Mk1). Compared to a BGT, the MG is more comfortable, rides better, and handles bettter. The GT6 is considerably faster and arguably more fun.

Jul 15, 2008 · Louvres - you can buy alloy panels with them pressed in at B&Q and similar DiY shops, for doors and chimney breasts. They would look OK if faired in. BUT, louvres are useless. The first the air comes to works better than a same sized hole in the bonnet, by about 20%.

Jun 16, 2020 · I've had the very first, prototype TSSC engine bay valences on my GT6 for over 10 years. They are louvered and made of alloy sheet. They fit fine and have lasted well but I don't know how they compare to the club's current valences.
