Grid north (GN) is the direction of a plane grid system, usually the grid associated with the map projection. On current US Topo maps, the projection is Transverse Mercator and the plane grid is Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM).

Running from Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Seattle, Washington, it was the creation of 19th-century railroad entrepreneur James J. Hill and was developed from the Saint Paul & Pacific Railroad.

Aug 20, 2024 · At the beginning of country cadastre, the unit of Cadastral Map was a village and recently changed as a Grama Niladhari (GN) division of a district. A cadastral map consists essentially of two parts via graphic record and textual record.
