GMB activists campaign and fight for better rights, pay and conditions for all women at work. Despite 100 years of progress in law and society, women workers are still a long way off from being treated fairly at work. In many sectors, the situation for women workers is getting worse.

The Women's Campaign Unit builds on that inspirational history. We're running accessible, interactive training for organisers, reps and members on how to spot equal pay and health and safety issues for women and how we come together to overcome them for good.

Every year GMB awards the Eleanor Marx Award to an inspirational woman who has stood up and made an exceptional difference to our members’ lives. The winner will also be nominated for the TUC Women’s Gold Badge Award, which is presented at TUC Congress in September.
