GKN Sankey F.C., previously known as Sankeys of Wellington F.C., was an English association football club based in Wellington, Shropshire, which was incorporated into the new town of Telford in the 1960s.

The FV432 was designed to be the armoured personnel carrier in the FV430 series. Production started in 1962 by GKN Sankey and ended in 1971, after constructing approximately 3,000 vehicles. [citation needed] An FV432 in the foreground during the Gulf War. The FV432 is of all-steel construction.

GKN was now focused on a few growth businesses: Driveline, Chep, Cleanaway, Aerospace/Defence and Off-Highway, which had developed from the original Sankey operation. Strategic moves expanded Chep into the potentially vast American market and Driveline into post-communist Eastern Europe.

Albert Street and Bankfield Works were rebuilt in 1957 to 1958, along with a new head office. In 1968, Joseph Sankey & Sons Limited became GKN Sankey Limited, and by 1970, Hadley Castle Works became the main centre of operations, employing a much larger workforce than at Bilston.
