Jul 18, 2011 · The P-Mag has a moderm follower which addresses fedding issues (but I have never had round not feed out of a GI mag that was loaded properly with decent ammo. I like the "top cover thst comes with hte P-Mag, it is supposed to keep a loaded magazine from loosing its shape at the top (but aluminum mags don't seem to suffer this problem).

Dec 14, 2018 · The 2 ar15's use all the mags just just fine, but the del-ton lower has a tighter mag well and the 20 round gen 3 pmags are a little sticky in the mag well and do not always drop free when empty. The 18s and 180b mag well is tight with all the pmags and none of them will drop free when they are empty.

Feb 16, 2025 · I can only offer my opinion based on 25 years in SF. I had the exotic mags, the HK’s, Plastics, ect. End of the day, a new GI aluminum mag never failed me. Wolfe makes some really good +10 mags if you want over match. HK mags are great until they aren’t. P mags are GTG FNC steel mags were great in the 90’s

Mar 20, 2022 · I’ve seen a picture of a 20 round GI mag with the Ranger Plates before and my OKAY industries 20 round mags all have a tab on the bottom unlike the 30 round mags. Is there a 20 round GI mag that the Ranger Plates work with? Stupid off the wall question but figured someone here would know. 20 round plate

Nov 13, 2024 · The EPM mag is a POS no matter who makes it. If I’m betting on an old-school aluminum mag, I’d take a Center over an Okay all day every day. The tan follower mags are better than the green follower due to the stiffer spring. The green follower is fine in most AR.

Nov 8, 2023 · Mine came with a beautiful blued finish just like GI. I tried them all and no problems at all. The ones I use regular I had CeraKoted. They are great for me and 7 different carbines. Once I found some NOS 15rd military mag springs wrapped in wax/cosmoline wrap. I used three springs for some old GI mags and am hoarding the rest.

May 12, 2010 · Like the 7.62x39 mag the 5.45x39 mag needs to curve like it just not so drastic. They feed reliably but with only 26 rounds in any more and I had issues and they became a pain in the ass to fill after 22 rounds the spring feels like it is really compressing or binding..
