I just got blood test results back and my GFR is at 75. Is that normal? I'm finding conflicting/confusing information

First of all, they will try and find out what caused the drop in GFR. Some common causes include infections, dehydration, drug toxicity (like common painkillers like ibuprofen), poor functioning of the heart, smoking, high blood pressure and diabetes to mention a few.

Customer: my MIL is 75 year old diabetic whose last GFR was 24.She was recently diagnosed with a UTI and given cipro.over the weekend her left leg swelled. Then today it is more swollen and the right leg now too.

Customer: My 75 yr old mother has been diagnosed with kidney failure (37 gfr in Novem / 18 gfr in december and another test done 1 week ago - 20gfr) the Dr suggested erythropoietin but will discuss it with the specialist first coz she is also a diabetic and Hypertention patient.

gfr probably means 75% which is fine the value does not fit the range you are giving me...a low gfr is a problem. amylase was very high...pancreatitis probably, now is back to normal c reactive protein is high, probably from all the inflammation. So at this point, you want to have the CRP repeated in a month or so and make sure it has come down.
