Aug 15, 2024 · Always use ports on an add-in video card before using the onboard Intel DP port in XPS 8960 because the add-in video card will give better performance. If you only had onboard Intel Graphics, you would want a DisplayPort(Intel Graphics)>DisplayPort(monitor) cable.

Nov 9, 2020 · The only other reason I can think of why the DVI adapter did not work is that the XPS 8700 has DVI-A (only analog signal outputs), but that seems to me to be unusual. If your XPS 8700 has HDMI output, then the HDMI cable that came with your monitor should have worked, no adapters needed, again check your OSD settings for Input Source.

Sep 25, 2021 · I never once experienced any type of slowdowns like this on a modestly-spec-ed i7 Optiplex at a previous employer from years ago. These slowdowns have been occurring on every XPS I've owned (9560, 9570, and 9700). For this level of spec and cost an equivalent desktop would be lightning quick and silky smooth, with processing power to spare.

Mar 16, 2020 · If your system has a GeForce GPU, then it definitely has two GPUs because all XPS 15s have Intel GPUs, since that GPU is built into the CPU. I believe ejn63 is correct that all display outputs are wired to the Intel GPU, but if you want to check this for yourself, open NVIDIA Control Panel and go to the PhysX Configuration section.

When I connect the Dell-provided cable into the mini-display port on the back of the monitor and then connect the other end into the Display Port on the back of the computer, the monitor simply says "No DisplayPort cabl
