The Rockwell International Guided Bomb Unit 15 is an unpowered glide weapon used to destroy high-value enemy targets. It was designed for use with F-15E Strike Eagle, F-111 'Aardvark' and F-4 Phantom II aircraft. The GBU-15 has long-range maritime anti-ship capability with the B-52 Stratofortress. [2]

The details and dimensions of the GBU-15 (cruciform wing), GBU-1S (planar wing), 370- and 600-gal fuel tanks, ALQ 119 and ALQ 131 ECM pods, and the MAU 12B/A inboard pylon are shown in Figs. 5 through 11.

The GBU-15 provides the capability for accurate (automatic or manual) guided delivery of a MK-84 bomb at increased ranges.

The GBU-15 consists of modular components attached to either a Mk 84 general purpose bomb or BLU-109 penetrating warhead. Each GBU-15 has a forward guidance section, warhead adapter section, control module, airfoil components and a weapon data link.

Rockwell GBU-15(V)/B The GBU-15(V)/B is a family of electro-optically guided glide bombs (EOGB) developed and used by the U.S. Air Force. These bombs are included in this missile directory, because the missile designator AGM-112 was at one time requested for them.

The GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) is a 250-pound (110 kg) precision-guided glide bomb that is intended to allow aircraft to carry a greater number of smaller, more accurate bombs. Most US Air Force aircraft will be able to carry (using the BRU-61/A rack [16]) a pack of four SDBs in place of a single 2,000-pound (910 kg) Mark 84 bomb.
